Battery Usage

Post by acdavis1999 »

Hello, I was wondering if anyone may be able to give me a rough estimate on how long a certain battery could last with a booster. The booster I plan to use is here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1903 (3.7v to 5v) and here is the batteries I would like to use: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3898 (3.7v power supply 400 mah).
I know it is likely to vary, but I would like to use one for an Arduino (the Leonardo) and also a Hitec HS-785HB sail winch servo (https://hitecrcd.com/products/servos/bo ... .5/product). Both of which would be using one of the boosters and one of the batteries.

From a 400mah battery, you would have around 250mah at 5 volts. You would divide your current needed in ma into 250 to see how many hours your project will last (approximately)

Okay, so if I use a 400 mah battery and it puppy 500 mah I take 400ma/500=0.8h. Does that seem about right?

400mah at 3.7 volts is closer to 250mah at 5 volts. 250 / 500 = .5 hour.
