Simple RF T4 Receiver acting like a momentary receiver

by TinoLlama on Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:40 pm

Hello,

I recently purchased a Simple RF T4 Receiver - 315MHz Toggle Type (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1097) and a single button key fob (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1392) for a project I have been working on. I set up a simple circuit to turn on an LED (picture below), but upon use it appears that my receiver is acting like a momentary one. I press the button on the key fob and the LED should be staying on, but instead it turns off the moment the button is released. Is this simply user error, or are my components faulty?

You will get better range if you extend the coiled antenna wire. But I don't think that will have any effect on the toggle vs momentary issue you are seeing. If you contact support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread, we can send you a replacement module.

Alright, I've sent an email to the support team. Thank you very much for the fast reply, and the advice about the antenna!
