INA260 Small confusion

Post by azchrisf83 »

Hi guys,

I will be using an INA260 to measure the voltage of a Supercap in another device (identical in measuring a battery).

I am a little confused on the instructions, however.
As I understand it reading them, I will connect (either thru the solderable jumper or thru the board pins, both are labeled same) Vin+ to the Supercap V-, and Vin- to the Arduino Ground.
The instructions say to cut the VBus jumper, and to connect VBus to the "power bus". What is the power bus? Arduino 3.3V or the Supercap V+?

Thanks!

If you measure from the high-side, no changes are necessary because you will already have connections to both the + and - terminals of the power source.

If you want to measure from the low side, you need to cut the VBus jumper and make a connection to the positive side of your power source in order to measure the supply voltage.
