Stacked an Arduino Motor Shield V2.3 on an Uno and Elegoo Uno, one dc toy hobby motor (also from Adafruit). Worked one time on the dc motor test, then never again. I ran the I2C scanner, and the only response I received was "Scanning...". I powered the motor through the Arduino with the jumper, and with a separate 12volt (8AA's) without the jumper, neither works. I looked through the forums and found a customer with the same problem. I tried all the suggested solutions with no success.
