Microlipo Battery Charger

I recently purchased the Adafruit Micro Lipo battery charger and when I inserted the JST plug on my battery it burnt my thumb that was touching the back of the female connector. Then I couldn't remove the JST male connector and had to rip the thing apart to get it out. I have tested the input and I was able to successfully insert and remove a JST plug, While I did not have an Arduino battery attached, the red and green lights both remained on while I tried to extract the JST plug.
