LCD Shield Kit SCL and SDA shorted out
I soldered two LCD Shields Kits together. The first one works perfectly. In the second one, the SCL and SDA pins are shorted, and consequently the A4 and A5 pins are shorted. I have attached pictures of my soldering job (I'm not very experienced at it), but I can't see how where the short is. Does anyone have any ideas about what could have caused this and if it can be fixed?

Unfortunately, it could be from some of the solder slag on the PCB that's not adhered to the pins:
It could be a very small connection and not very obvious without a magnifier.

Thanks for the input. Is there a technique for cleaning it up, or detaching the pin headers?

Not really any one specific technique, just various approaches that can be tried. Maybe in combo.
One option is copper braid:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/149
The idea with that is you place it over the area, heat it up, and the solder gets drawn into the heated copper braids. Sort of like a paper towel. You then cut off and toss the used braid sections.
Could also try just reheating with soldering iron. Maybe add some solder to the tip and try soaking up the blobs back onto the iron.
May also be able to get rid of some flakes with a brush:

There is a video on using solder braid.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AoT4jPNuVI Also, you can use some flux https://www.adafruit.com/product/3468 and clean off the flux and fragments with a brusk (and I use IPA) use a clean and dry soldering iron to remelt the solder and it just might flow to the tip and clean the connections. Good luck and take heart that practice will make the job easier.
