The level shifter on the brand new board are faulty. I can use it only at 5V. Could you please arrange a replacement or (better) tell me how to remove the level shifter because I don't need the 5V ability.
Many thanks in advance
Thorsten

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
Just to be sure, you are using one of these 9DOFs?

What voltage levels was not working? 3.3V? What non-5V board was being used?

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
Yes, I'm using these 9DOF break out board.
5V works well but 3.3V not.
Tested 3.3V with Arduino Due (3 boards) and 5V with Arduino Uno (1 board).

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
Is the Due your only 3.3V board? The Due is known to have a problematic I2C implementation. We need to rule out it being something with that.

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
The Due is a 3.3V board. I know what you mean. The Due has two I2C ports and one port has on board pull up resistors. Many beginners don't know that and they have trouble. But the Due is a very good MCU and I had no trouble with it.

And the Due is your only 3.3V board? There is no other 3.3V board available for testing?

Please post a photo of your setup with the Due showing how everything is connected.
What output do you get in the Serial Monitor when your run the example sketch from the library?

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
The Due can't find the breakout board on the I2C port. On the serial monitor I got the "ooops can't find" message.

Thanks for the photo. For the header pins that are being used as gender changers, are they this style?

You only have female-female jumper wires?

Re: NXP Precision 9DoF Breakout
The short side of those standard headers likely is not getting good connection into the breadboard or Due headers.
