A recent small change in the library was causing mayhem (I wasn't entirely synced up, is why I never got the errors). Please fetch latest (either from Github or using Arduino Library Manager) and see if things improve.

Sat and soldered it all up last night. Confirmed working without any issues! What it was specifically was that ST7735 was apparently out of date? I went into the library manager and told it to grab the most recent version, it did its thing and it compiled and uploaded without any issues. Time to goof around with it now and get some freaky eyes going. Expect a post in the future with my finished project!

hi all
been having fun changing iris and stuff. I found this converter page http://www.rinkydinkelectronics.com/t_i ... ter565.phpwhich makes it almost easy to convert .png to .H files.

Nice! Do you have any more instruction on your skull, how to mount it, where you got your cabochons, etc? Did you buy/make cases for the OLEDs?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-lo ... 0.0.Dno3IR is where I got the cabochons, they are smaller than the recommended ones but work fine. I didn't use cases just cut a hole 1mm smaller than the glass in some thin pvc squares and hot glued them in place. As can be seen in the picture, I am using a 5v 2600mAh power packhttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/1PCS-US ... st=ae803_2 for on the move power. also from Aliexpress and so was the mask

forgot to say the battery (type 18650) was scavenged out of an old electric screwdriver

Re: uncanny eyes with Teensy 3.1
Hi guys,
Just finished soldering and programming my TFT eyes and I get the left eye working fine but the right eye does nothing at all. All of the Arduino software is fresh install with the latest drivers and libraries. I am using the default eyes right now for testing. I am getting power to the right eye, tested with meter, but it never so much as flashes when power is applied. Is there anything I need to do to enable the right eye using the default sketch? The only change I made was to select TFT instead of OLED.
One thing I different between the 2 display is I ran the GND for the left eye to the GND near the USB and the GND for the right eye I soldered to the GND at the other end of the board behind the button. Does that matter? They are both ground and I do register power on the non working right eye.

Both eyes should work by default. Clear photos of all wiring will be helpful for troubleshooting.

Re: uncanny eyes with Teensy 3.1
Do the OLED displays come with headers or just the bare board? Any suggestions for cabling? Is there an 11 pin female ribbon cable? I wanted to put an 11 pin male header on the board and on the Teensy. Is the only option to rip apart a female to female ribbon jumper cable or hard wire it?

Connections all appear to be going to the right places. Looks like some possible cold solder joints -- especially GND and RESET on the TFT end, and I can't quite make out the R/L select pins on the Teensy end but I'd give those a going-over since only one display is responding.
