Bluefruit EZ-Link breakout not pairing with mac

Post by petran1420 »

Hi there,

I just opened up the bluefruit EZ-Link breakout and am working my way through the tutorial. I just soldered in the female headers and currently have the device powered by an arduino uno (pictured) and am attempting to pair the device to my mac. However the mac cannot find the device (pictured). At first i thought maybe I did something wrong with my circuits but when I looked for the device on my smartphone I could find it (pictured).

Any ideas why my smartphone can find the ez-link but my mac cannot?

Did you pair it to the phone?

If so, un-pair it. The EZ-Link doesn't advertise when it's paired to a central device.

I never paired it to the phone, I just checked to see if another device was able to detect it.
