IR-LED with 950nm possible?

by 9600baud on Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:56 pm

Hi there,

I am thinking of building a TV-B-gone on a prototype board and I am now gathering all components.
Looking at the datasheets of the Everlight-IR-333
http://www.datasheet4u.com/download.php?id=521376 and at another IR-LED one here http://www.csd-electronics.de/data/pdf/LD271.pdf
I thought I could replace the Everlight ones.

The difference is in the wavelength, 940nm to 950nm. Looking at the diagram, it should be powerful enough even at 940nm.

Has someone tried this already?

Cheers,
Alex

The 10nm don't matter. The LD271 work perfectly, I tried them.
