Hi,
In the instruction guide for the TV-B-Gone, the LEDs are placed with the two purple ones in the middle and the two clear ones on the sides. However, when I built mine, I accidentally placed them as alternating with clear, purple, clear, purple from left to right. Despite this, it still works. Why is this? And what is the difference between the purple LEDs and the clear LEDs?
Thanks

Re: TVBG LED Question
The LEDs all send the same codes. I think the difference between the two kinds is IR wavelength. But I don't know for sure.

Re: TVBG LED Question
The only difference between the two LEDs is the 'spread' of light. one of them is 'narrow beam' and one is 'wide beam' - its totally oK if they're out of order..maybe even looks better :)
