Flora V3 not recognized by computer

by victorgarmar71 on Sat Aug 12, 2017 6:57 pm

Hi,

After I finished installing the drivers, controllers, etc., I was about to start using my Flora V3 but my computer didn't recognize it.

I opened the Device Manager, checked the COM ports and it wasn't there. I hit the reset button and a red LED (#7) started to flash, the Device Manager refreshed itself and the Flora COM port appeared, however, after 5 seconds the LED stopped flashing and the COM port disappeared.

I already tried changing the USB cable, uninstalling everything and reinstalling it all again, and this keeps happening. Arduino, only recognizes the COM port as long as the LED is flashing, but it doesn't say it's the FLORA one, and as soon as the LED stops flashing it disappears.

I'd like to know what I can do to fix this or if I can receive another FLORA.

I'm using Windows 7.

Try uploading a sketch without bothering to select a Serial Port first.

When the lines beginning with 'PORTS' start to scroll past in the debug pane, click the Flora's reset button. That forces the bootloader to restart and open a new USB connection while the Arduino IDE is looking for a device to do that. It usually sorts things out.
