Can you use other IDE's for Dev & Debug of D21 Feather?

Post by justinmreina »

I have a Feather Atmel-D21 board (#3010) and have it successfully in use with the Arduino IDE & Debugger software. I traditionally use Eclipse, is there a means to use this board in Eclipse or Atmel Studio for dev & debug?

I sure hope there is! Is there?

is this the correct solution? And it looks like this is useful for setup? I am nearly assuming the answer is 'yes' given the content above, but still would like confirmation from someone else if possible! :)

The Arduino IDE is only one toolchain you can use to program or debug a microcontroller. You can use any other toolchain you prefer.

Check with the folks over at http://www.avrfreaks.net/ to see what they like. I'm sure someone has a setup that uses Eclipse.
