I emailed Adafruit Support regarding the Pyboard V1.1 and was redirected to make a forum in the engineering and technical support forums.
My board defected on June 4th 2018 (6/4/2018) and would no longer be recognized by my laptop or even have the initial LED sequence for its brief booting period. It was being used as the microprocessor for an Autonomous RC car project and all wiring was triple checked before turning anything on. This was not the first time the board was being used for the same project, and it was working fine with no problems for at least 20 hours of total run time. I was hoping that there be some way that I could have this board replaced.
Attached I have images of the boards underside, input ports, and micro usb port which was used.

Re: Pyboard V1.1 defected after careful use.
I'm sorry, but that's past our 30-day return/replace period.
It also sounds like there were no production defects, and that the board worked longer than the usual time for early component failures. We can't rule out the effects of conditions in the operating environment, especially if the board was connected to motors or motor drivers. Those are notorious for being electrically noisy and producing voltage spikes large enough to cause damage.

Thank you for your reply. I understand and just want to clarify that I did have precautions to avoid back emf etc.

That's entirely possible, but I'm afraid we still can't offer a replacement.
