stk500 adapter

you guys think that this adapter: http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_ ... ucts_id=63 will work with an stk500 board??

I think the STK500 requires something like 7-12 V, and 660mA is more than enough current, so electrically it should be fine. I think the only question is whether the plug itself will fit in the jack. I have both at home, so I'll try it out and let you know.

I plugged in the one from my Ice Tube clock (same specs 9V, 0.66A) into my board and it powered on OK. However, the documentation for my board says that it requires 10-15V input, so 9V may not be enough to fully power the board. You might want to check the specs for your board, and unless they're different, look for a higher-voltage adaptor.

well i think the schematics for the board say 9v not sure..

If that's true, then it should be fine. I was just going by what my documentation says. No guarantees from me, though. :)
