Need help with cosplay prop

Post by Bretborton »

My daughter saw this project on thingiverse for the Halo Magnum gun with lights and sounds I told her I would go ahead and print it out and now after some investigating I have noticed that the electronics used for this prop is not readily available here in the states that I am aware of. I attached a link to the project the problem I'm having is figuring out what adafruit parts I'm going to need to get to the same effects.

Take a look at the Prop-Maker Featherwing:

The project you linked looks like it has something similar, but with a built-in microcontroller.

The Featherwing will work with any of the boards in our Feather line.

I was thinking that the below listed items would probably get me the closest to what was accomplished in my original link. I wasn't sure if adafruit had an all in one card like the original on that was shown.

Adafruit Prop-Maker FeatherWing
PID: 3988

Adafruit Feather M0 Express
PID: 3403

We don't have an all-in-one, but that combination of boards should do everything you need.

The stacked boards will be a little thicker than the single one, but hopefully there's enough room in the 3D-printed form to allow clearance.
