Broke Reset Button on Adafruit huzzah ESP8266 Breakout Board

by Richard99 on Wed Mar 11, 2020 2:03 am

Hello. I am fairly new to electronics and I have previously purchased an ESP8266 breakout board for my first IoT project. Recently, the reset button came off while I was pressing it to upload code. Since then, I have been pressing onto the button pieces using the tip of my jumper cable. However, I seemed to have misplaced them today. Is it still possible for me to upload code onto the board? I am nearing the end of my project so I really do not want to purchase a new one. Attached is a picture of what it currently looks like. I have a soldering iron but I am not sure if that is useful in this context

Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

You can ground the pin labelled RST (i.e. Reset) (beside the antenna, across from TX). either with a jumper or an external switch.
