The Adafuit Audio FX Sound Board... with LEDs?

Post by OohDeery »

Hey! Just a general question for now. I'm making a prop project with lights and sounds using a trigger. The Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board + 2x2W Amp - WAV/OGG Trigger -16MB
((PRODUCT ID: 2217 https://www.adafruit.com/product/2220)) seems to be advertised with a Microcontroller in it. So, with that being said, can I smack on some LEDs (just two) on there and get it working? Or is it best for me to go with the old Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board and connect it to a Pro Trinket?

Any advice is helpful.

The only difference between 2220 and 2217 is the addition of an amplifier. If you want to control LEDs, you would need a microcontroller too.
