Hello folks,
I've just noticed the Teensy 3.0 in Adafruit's store, and it looks like it could be very useful for a astronomy-related project I'm working on... but unfortunately I can't find any kind of programming tools for it (ie, libraries, compiler, binutils, IDE, etc). The nearest I found was the Teensyduino add-on, but it doesn't seem to have support for the 3.0, just for the older (ATMega-based) Teensies.
So, can anyone point me in the right direction, or should I just sit down and wait because none are available yet?
Thanks in advance,

I believe the Teensyduino software already supports Teensy 3.0.

Hi,
If it's indeed supported, can you tell me how to set the build environment for the Teensy3?
Cheers,

I downloaded and installed it before posting my first message... it installed all right, but the Tools / Board menu in the IDE didn't had an option for the Teensy3, just the previous models.driverblock wrote:I believe the Teensyduino software already supports Teensy 3.0.

I think for now you have to follow along with beta code links in some of Paul's Kickstarter updates. I'd provide a link to his update #12 as a good starting point, but six digit numbers in URLs get me a tut, tut from the forum software for spamming.

Aha! Didn't know about these updates, thanks for pointing them out! Seems PJRC just posted one (update #14) with a complete tar.gz for tge 64-bit version of the Arduino+Teensy3 programming tools.BruceF wrote:I think for now you have to follow along with beta code links in some of Paul's Kickstarter updates. Note that linux is currently one release beyond the others. See the kickstarter updates for details...

Re: Teensy 3.0 programming tools?
Adafruit is selling the Teensy 3 even before Paul's own PJRC.com store has them. Adafruit's product page for it https://www.adafruit.com/products/1044 does link to the Kickstarter page, and not PJRC.com.
I got my Teensy 3 via the Kickstarter and I'm enjoying it so far! I put my findings along with an ADC testing program here: http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/vi ... f=2&t=4606
