We haven't seen any work on the subject.
An SD card can't interact with a USB host at all, so you'll need some kind of microcontroller active and implementing the USB Mass Storage protocol.

Aye, sorry, I understand that. It was more to do with the USB2240 chip (chuckylo mentioned this). I need to do something similar. I have a project on whereby I'm using a PIC to write data to an SD card and would like to get quick access to the data on that card without taking it out, and instead use USB in some way for the transfer, via this USB2240 chip.

I'm sure it's possible, but we haven't done any work in that direction ourselves.
