Data Logging with Both Data Logging Shield and TFT Shield

by icecool2 on Wed Dec 05, 2018 3:02 pm

I'm planning to stack my data logging shield with my 1.8" TFT shield (v2) on an Arduino Uno. This mostly because I need the RTC that the data logging shield has. (PRODUCT SUGGESTION! TFT shield with RTC :) )

I believe that the same CS signal will be used for the SD cards on both shields. Is that right? I only want to use one SD card. If I only have an SD card in one shield will there be a problem?

Is one shield faster than the other? I think both use the hardware SPI, but I can't recall.

The SD card circuits on both boards are the same. It is really just a buffer for the SPI signals to the card. If you only plug one card in, you should be fine.
