Question about BMP280 Lib

by GerMan1 on Mon Dec 02, 2019 7:45 am

Hey, I saw that Bosch had updated their BMP280 driver a few days ago on Github and I wanted to ask, if this relates somehow to the Arduino Library of the Adafruit BMP280 ?

The Adafruit BMP280 Arduino library is stand alone, so does not explicitly track that Bosch driver.

Is this an issue that can be demonstrated somehow?

Please look at the changes here and make sure the Library has not the same errors:

Looks like they were using 32 bit integers and changed from signed to unsigned. They were probably running into a precision issue with the signed bit, looks like there is at least one 31 bit shift happening. Also some typos in their constants.

The Adafruit library uses 64 bit ints and bit shifting, so might be OK:

If you can demonstrate a problem with the current code, you can open an issue here:
