GPS EM-406 no flashing

Hi ..

I have connected GPS EM-406 and use NewSoftSerial.

Sometimes it works.... ok... :)

But sometimes, and now since many hours, it doesnt work, Led is "on", but no flashing (even if I go outside ) !!! :(

any idea ...?

if it cant get a fix, its usually that you cant see enough satelites, or perhaps the power is low

Thank you for your reply...

I verify the supply...5V
I try outside ....same thing

In the terminal, I get : UTC "time", "date", ...but "Status = V" = data no valid... :x

If I ca'nt get enough satellites, what could the reason be ...?

sometimes it takes longer. if it worked once and you didnt drop it or anything the module is probably fine and just needs to point up at the sky for a few hours.

If you have a relatively clear horizon, a few minutes is plenty for it to acquire. Over a couple of hours, the constellation will have evolved significantly.

It sounds as if the antenna might be a little flaky. Are you in the same location where it once worked? I would do something as silly as making sure the antenna is secured (try to wiggle it), etc.
