Product Selection Help

by zajac on Tue Jan 10, 2017 9:13 pm

I am looking to purchase this product Nano V3.0 Module with ATMEGA328P 5V 16MHz Board however it seems to be discontinued. Would this be a good substitute Adafruit Metro Mini 328 - 5V 16MHz? The other product I am trying to find is this Aukru HC-05 Wireless Bluetooth Transceiver Modul Slave and Master RS232 + 6 set cable for Arduino. Any suggestion on an Adafruit substitute for either product?

thanks,
bz

The Metro Mini would be a good replacement as would the Por Trinket as they both use the ATmega328 chip. Our feather boards also deserve a look.

I also thought of this board Adafruit Feather M0 Bluefruit LE because it seemed to be the same Arduino type board with Bluetooth built in. Would you say that is a fair assessment from someone with little to no experience with this type of hardware?

The processor in the Feather 32U4 BLE is a closer match to the Nano. The M0 version uses a different processor family. It is a more powerful - but somewhat more complex processor to work with compared to the 32U4. But you can still program it with the Arduino IDE.
