Arduino resonator replacement

Post by ccdfreak »

Hi there! I need a quite precise and stable CPU frequency for my project. So far I didn't find a standard Arduino board (I prefer the Mega 2560) with the low-quality 16M resonator replaced by a much more better crystal. So I decided to design a small PCB carrying a 3.3V 16MHz oscillator (2.5ppm!!!) + a level shifter to 5V at a size of 19x19mm². IMHO this solution is so tiny that it could be designed into several AVR based dev boards. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Eagle designs, so it would be hard for me to upgrade those OSH design files... Anyone interested?
