Board advice for print to serial monitor

Hello!

I am trying to lower the cost of using a Myoware muscle sensor controlled by an Arduino board. The tutorials use Arduino UNO or Mega, but can the muscle sensor be controlled by a cheaper board? The problem I run into when looking at other boards is that some cannot print to the serial monitor, ie, this was the case with the Arduino trinket.

So I am looking for the cheapest board that will run the Myoware sensor, able to print to the serial monitor. Would the trinket pro be a good option? From the description I can't tell if it prints to the serial monitor.
