Bmp388 over I2C and SSD1306 incompatible?

by jebobrow on Sun Feb 09, 2020 10:05 pm

Hi,
I am having trouble getting two bmp388's working with my ssd1386 display over I2C on an Arduino. All 3 devices have different addresses, so I thought that they would work fine together. The two bmp's work great with my serial monitor on my Arduino. My ssd1386 works great by itself. When I combine them to try to write to my display rather than my serial monitor, the program hangs up and does not write to the display.

I am using two of your libraries: Adafruit_SSD1306.h and Adafruit_BMP3XX.h with Adafruit_Sensor.h
The only thing that I find that is strange is when I place the I2C SCL pin signal on my oscilloscope I see a 400,000 Hz wave when the display is working and only a 32,000 Hz signal when the bmp's are working. I don't know why they are slow since I did not change the default settings...
