PRODUCT ID: 3895. With appropriate amplifier.
Events/Timeline:
The project/thermocouple worked last week.
One of the leads pulled loose and I reconnected. And it reported base of null and probe of 1783.
Reconnected.
Now it reports base temperature of 0.00 and probe temperature of 0.00.
Any suggestions.

General advice for anybody considering Arduino and the smaller versions, make sure you have tiny, tiny hands to assemble/wire up any project. For normal people, you feel like a giant. Laugh now.

I hang out with several "Arduino" people who don't have tiny hands. It's a matter of technique, practice and using the right hand tools.
Watch some youtube videos to see how others get by.

I'd agree that, once you are working with surface mount components, the job gets tougher, but still, its the tools that make it work.

Re: T/C not reading: You didn't say HOW the lead came loose. Is it possible that the probe became detached from the leadwires? To check for that condition, just do a resistance check. I'd guess you should see something around a few ohms or less if the circuit is good.
