It isnt soldered because it doesnt work at all. If I connect the 3.3 from the Uno to pin A3 the LCD does show the proper reading, If I connect to 5v the reading works and displays perfectly. It is the stepper which doesnt budge.
If I // all the LCD related lines of code the stepper works flawlessly

Correction: It doesn't work because it isn't soldered.

Solder your connections and post photos as requested.

Ok will a screw shield suffice or is solder mandatory because the stepper board only has screw connections
The uno does not have any holes to solder to

If you post photos as requested, we can see what boards you are using and whether any connections require solder.

Most photo apps allow you to export a resized image. If yours does not, there are lots of free online photo resizing sites on the web. About 800x600 images usually work best.

I don't see your display anywhere. And I don't recognize the motor control board you are using.

We also can't see what motor you are using, so it is not clear whether the UNO's regulator has sufficient power to drive it.

I dont have the display hooked up because I thought the draw was too much and that was the problem.
With that said if I // out the LCD lines of code the setup works perfectly. So it is my understanding that some how some way the code is the problem. The stepper doesnt budge.

As for the motor board I wanted to use Adafruits but dont understand the tutorials.
The sketch works with TB6600,the one shown and EasyDriver all driven just fine with the Uno.

Trying to communicate with a device that isn't properly connected often results in the code getting stuck because the device doesn't respond. Disconnecting the device entirely does not improve things.
