75-80 mm square graphical color display?

Post by mcinsand »

Does anyone know of a good source for square color graphical displays in the 75-80 mm edge range? 100x100 would work; I would just end up not using the excess.

I enjoy both Arduinos and my classic gear, and a thought finally struck me with a longing I have long had about getting a yellow/blue long-persistence display for one of my scopes. Those CRTs are expensive, and the phosphor does tend to burn out if left on with a repeat pattern for long. An Arduino-driven graphical display would be not only more durable and cost-effective, but it would be far more versatile. One such scope is a Heathkit HO-13 panadaptor, and I want to couple it to a WW-II BC-348 receiver. Having a variable-persistence display would be easy to code.

Regards

It also comes in a non-bezel version.
Maybe a tad too small at 72x72mm, but there is not much on offer that is square.
