Arduino Due and using the MLX90640

Post by edefrain »

There is a problem with these as a pair. There has yet to be anyone who has solved this issue. Is there anyone able to figure out or have re-write the drivers of the MLX90640.
It is obvious that the Due can be used with the MLX90640 from Adafruit. It has all the memory capabilities and the Due is one of the faster processors from Arduino.

I have found a forum on this site here:

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=182536&hilit=MLX

This person had the exact same issue as I am having. In the end Adafruit just sent them a new camera.

Please if there is anyone who has solved this issue please reply.

The forum thread you linked to is using a Huzzah not a Arduino DUE.

Let's focus on your setup and see if we can resolve it.

Can you post the a photo of your wiring, code that is running and messages you are seeing.

the Due I2C is notoriously flakey and is not fixable - please use a different chip!
