chip not syncing
I bought an Atmega328p dip, inserted it into my Arduino and tried to program it, but received a "cannot sync" error. So I tried the chip that came with the Uno and it worked fine. What can I do?

Re: chip not syncing
Is your new '328 blank? I.e. does it have a bootloader flashed?

Re: chip not syncing
I don't know if the chip is blank. Usually when i buy them they have bootloaders already. I did try to burn one but i got the same chip not syncing error.

Exactly what did you buy? A link to the product page or product ID, please.

Re: chip not syncing
Thanks. That should have a bootloader programmed into it.
