Printing to Serial Monitor

I am running an ILI9341 graphics test sketch. The sketch runs just fine drawing graphics and printing text onto my NSP2307 display screen from my ESP32 module. However it does not print any output text to the Serial Monitor. A sample of the sketch code is shown below:

There are many Serial.print statements, but not print to my Serial Monitor.
I am using COM3 to connect to my ESP32 module.

What must i do in order to print to the Serial Monitor?

Sketch doesn't look complete?

Try using a simple sketch the does some Serial.prints in the loop(). Make sure you're using the correct com port and Serial Monitor baud matches code.

Try a very simple sketch. One that does nothing but prints in the loop. Don't worry about the ILI9341 for now. Just a sanity check as to why you can't see anything in the Arduino Serial Monitor.

Thank you! This should work. My ESP32 is having a headache and will not upload. It saw COM3 yesterday. It doesn't see COM3 today.
When it does feel OK and this sketch runs, I'll get back to you for confirmation.

Well my ESP32 got over its headache. Your loaded sketch uploaded just fine. However my ESP32 now suffers from diarrhea of the mouth. It does not print out an updated version for the "count" value.

Here is your sketch:

The sketch should print an increasing count value forever.

What specific ESP32 product are you using?

It is possible that my ESP32 module may have gone bad. I expect to receive two new one on Friday, Jan 14th.

I'd suspect something else before suspecting bad modules. Unless you have reason to believe they've been damaged, like with current use.
