Restore Offset of BNO055

Post by DjangoTango »

Hi, Can someone help me to emulate the EEPROM library?
I am using a portenta H7 with your Adafruit IMU BNO055. I want to use the Restore_offset.ino in the mbed OS. In the tutorial of portenta I found this example but I am not able to modify the code properly https://docs.arduino.cc/tutorials/porte ... -ard-flash.

Code: Select all

#include <Wire.h>
#include <Adafruit_Sensor.h>
#include <Adafruit_BNO055.h>
#include <utility/imumaths.h>
#include <EEPROM.h>

/* This driver uses the Adafruit unified sensor library (Adafruit_Sensor),
   which provides a common 'type' for sensor data and some helper functions.

   To use this driver you will also need to download the Adafruit_Sensor
   library and include it in your libraries folder.

   You should also assign a unique ID to this sensor for use with
   the Adafruit Sensor API so that you can identify this particular
   sensor in any data logs, etc. To assign a unique ID, simply
   provide an appropriate value in the constructor below (12345
   is used by default in this example).

   Connections
   ===========
   Connect SCL to analog 5
   Connect SDA to analog 4
   Connect VDD to 3-5V DC
   Connect GROUND to common ground

   History
   =======
   2015/MAR/03  - First release (KTOWN)
   2015/AUG/27 - Added calibration and system status helpers
   2015/NOV/13 - Added calibration save and restore

Re: Restore Offset of BNO055

Does the example in https://docs.arduino.cc/tutorials/porte ... -ard-flash work by itself?

We are not familiar with this at all, but in theory you should just be able to use that code to write any value you want. The fact that it's a BNO055 should not be important, as I think you know.

Yes it works but I am not able to convert the functions of EEPROM.put and EEPROM.get in order to use that example.
I have thought about Adafruit forum because the restoring offset was made for only boards with eeprom. Maybe Adafruit made a version also for Mbed OS. Thank You for the reply
