Small capacitive touch sensor behind wooden frame?

Post by assiah »

I am looking for a capacitive touch sensor that I can integrate into the wooden frame of a light I develop. As it (hopefully) will become a commercial product one day, I need a "rock solid" (commercial grade) solution. It should work behind 5mm wood (minimum), and size wise as-small-as-possible wood be good.

Any ideas and recommendations I could test?
Thanks

How many inputs (touch points) would you like and do you already have a microcontroller you are using? In general this would be the first one I would explore.
