Thanks,
But the resistance readings are still not good; results are similar to those given earlier.

Re: Ardutester - Arduino Component Tester
I do not see the ESR Measurement in the latest build (07f) of the firmware - was it left out for some reason?
Thanks for a great piece of software \ hardware!

Hi all,
I'm new in this forum and for downloading I read "Download at 1st post" what does this mean, ie where do I find the item to downoad ?
Thanks

Re: Ardutester - Arduino Component Tester
First of all: What a great effort!
Really like this and planning to build it.
But I'm not the only one who's confused by the documentation of this project.
My main questions are:
1)
Where can I find the latest sketch?? I read "at the first post" and there I do find a sketch (V07f). But pighixxx write's in this blog at Tue May 07, 2013 7:15 pm
2)
Also, what's the correct schematic for this (or the latest) version of the software? For this pighxxx also leads us to the first post, but there is states:
Wouldn't it be nice to post the source on GitHub somewhere?
If anyone can tell me where to find the 0.7X version of the software, I'll be very happy
Thanks!

Where is this 0.7X revision? With 0.7X revison i will post also the eagle schematics.

New Version 0.7x
Attention! The connection diagram has changed!

Alas, it seems getting the project to work is one thing, getting accurate results is another!
I put through some resistors I have on hand through the Ardutester, and had some weird results.
The values marked okay were tested correctly:
Resistor ---- tested value
10R --- okay
22R --- okay
47R --- 23.5R
100R --- 47R
220r --- okay
470r --- okay
680r --- okay
1k --- okay
2k2 --- okay
4k7 --- 12k
6k8 --- 3k
10k --- 4k7
22k --- 10k5
47k --- 22k2
68k --- 32k
100k --- 46k
220k --- okay
470k --- okay
680k --- okay
1m --- okay
Note that nearly all of the incorrect readings were half of correct value, except 4.7k which read as 12k!
Very odd!
Any comments?
Thanks,
HI
did you find a solution because i do have the same problem ..using 0-7f version
10 k resistor show around 4616 ohm

Re: Ardutester - Arduino Component Tester
Looking for a decent LCR meter for homebrew RF & found myself here somehow. I would like to state that this project is incredible & seems a very daunting task to have been created. Excellent work. Please, if you are able to use github, it would be a very good way to keep track of revisions and stay updated. I am eager to see further development on this project.
Also, I want to thank aardvarko for their contributions to troubleshooting this project. It is a wonderful example of how opensource design & online communities can be very fruitful.
Keep up the good work & please consider github. best wishes.

Re: Ardutester - Arduino Component Tester
Thanks for great work.
Please can you add measuring of ESR ? Very often it is more useful than measuring of capacity.
For me it is unbelievable even to see so big code in arduino IDE.
I just started with arduino and programming, but this is really great. Even somebody like I is able to use code. Because just open it in IDE and upload it is needed. Using avrdude and winAVR, configuring makefile, setting up fuses etc. is too complicated for me. But this is very simple to use. Test it on breadboard and then make it on universal PCB.
I was trying to find how to use Arduino ISP to program HEX and EEP files to new mega328P or use winavr and configure makefile etc. But this is much easier.
Sorry for my poor english.
Thanks again.

Re: Ardutester - Arduino Component Tester
I built one from scratch parts. For the 5v regulator, I use an lm78l05, which is in a smaller package than the lm7805. I built it on a RadioShack prototyping PCB and used my friends arduino board to flash my chip, as my dad blew up my arduino board. My nexus is misbehaving and won't let me attach an image. Do you think it is possible to add millihenry testing?

Does anyone have a copy of the ArduTester code? Pighixxx's website has been down for a month and he doesn't seem to have been active anywhere. The latest I have is this:

Same bump here for schematics and sketch, nothing is linking from here and his site shows an in development page.
