ATMega168 working on 3.3v

by zhengrob on Tue Oct 07, 2008 11:19 am

The codes have been developed and verified on Arduioa Diecimila. However the actual application requests ATMega168 working in 3.3v condition. How to modify the hardware and software to suit this change? Does any one have this kind of experience? thanks..

arduino-chips are programmed to have a 2.7v or higher voltage so it should 'just work'

Thanks for your input. The reason why I raised up this topic is becuase some one advised that ATMega168 will not work stablely at 16MHz when the Vcc drop drown below 3.8v. If this is true, I have to decrease the crytal to 8MHz. Along with this change, both bootloader and sketch need to modify accordingly. If this is the case how to do the modification?
