Arduino Webserver

by TheMoogle on Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:22 pm

Hello

This story starts with my main web server passing away :(

While I set up my new server and work out all the bugs I have set up an arduino with a data logger shield, Ethernet shield and a custom temp sensor shield

you can view the results at http://www.wtfmoogle.com

Some small problems I need help getting to work:
Loading Images and the html off the SD card
RTC wont hold a date / time when power is reset?
Getting user info and logging it, what web browser they are using etc.

Has any tried this yet? or am I venturing into new areas?

hey great work, as for date/time - check the battery voltage pin. is it 3V?

this is new but its very cool and i think people will dig it :)

battery has the correct voltage, not getting anything on the shield though. maybe a little solder on the -pad might make a better connection?

Added some code to output the client requests to serial
getting tons of "Referer: http://www.adafruit.com/blog/2010/06/15 ... eb-server/" now from your blog :-D

if the arduino server does go down its probably because something is being updated or I'm playing with a new feature.

I love it! I have been pondering something like this with my brother to figure out a way to host a small HTML page with buttons to send "commands" to two motor controller boards for a robotics platform.

congratulations! nice job

to access the sdcard you might need to wait until the next Eth library is released (and shield maybe) because the Wizchip on the eth shield is really bad at sharing the SPI bus with anybody else.

Here is the latest stable code I am using.

http://iliketopoopinthe.pastebin.com/xjaVXYhm/

Red led blinks now to show the arduino hasn't locked up.

I fear doing any major software upgrades now as the arduino is getting so much traffic now

must work faster at getting new server online lol
