Is there a way to access the Soft Serial/Direct connect swit

Post by samarm96 »

For my project I'm making I need to turn on and successfully run my arduino stack remotely. I have only gotten my code to work when the GPS Shield is set on direct connect and then switched to software serial. How can I bypass the switch through software? I appreciate any help!

Short answer: you can't.
The switch is physically connected to the pins. there's no software control.

But I don't understand what you mean that you have to set to direct connect and then switch to soft serial? That doesn't make any sense to me. You should be able to simply leave it on soft serial.
