L293D shield ext power voltage

Post by csselo »

hi

I want to use 2 6v dc motor with l293d shield.when I plugged 6V ext power (4 AA battery). the motors in 3th and 4th port start to move but they stop suddenly.
I measured voltage of 3th 4th port. 0.7 V maximum. Then I changed ext power 6v to 12v (battery pack) .They start to work correctly. But I need to work with 6v.
What is the maximum output voltage of 3th and 4th port ? when I connect 6V to input.
how can I use it with 6v?

thanks

We do not make an L293D shield. The manufacturer or seller of your shield should be able to answer your technical questions.
