Pin7 Breakout for PCF8523 on SD Shield

Post by fsonnichsen »

I need to read the PCF8523 interrupt pin (7) on the SD datalogging shield. I do not see this pin mapped to a header in the layout. Short of a fly-wire is this pin available somewhere on the board?

Thanks
Fritz

If I'm reading the schematic (https://learn.adafruit.com/assets/66497) correctly, there's a through hole in the middle of the board that should be what you want. It's labeled SQ. It's between holes labeled 3V and WP.

aha-thanks. Now I see it. It is labled CN1 in the schematic (but not labeled on the board). I ohmed it out and you are correct.

cheers

Yep. That pin is multifunctional (see datasheet). The silk references the square wave output, CLKOUT. But it's a straight connection to Pin 7 of the PCF so is also INT1:
