Connecting 2 DC Motor with Hall sensors to a l293d shield

by And77 on Sat Feb 16, 2019 3:42 am

Hello everyone, recently I bought a tank chassis that came with dual 9V DC motors. When I got it I realized that each motor had six cables, V for the motor, V for hall sensor, GND for the motor, GND for hall sensor, signal for 1st hall sensor, signal for 2nd hall sensor. I'm currently trying to figure out how to hook up my motors to my shield but I'm not exactly sure where to put the hall sensor signal cables. Also, I was hoping someone could also explain how to hook up an RC radio receiver to this. The instructions are awful by the way for the tank. Thanks.

Not sure what shield you are using. We discontinued our L293d-based motor shield many years ago.

In any case, you will need to consult the documentation for your shield to find some free GPIO pins that can be used for your hall sensors.
