Music Maker - Headphone jack works but not amp

by michaelmjjohn on Thu Aug 22, 2019 2:06 am

Is there some setting I need to enable to get the amp/speaker connector to work? I've confirmed that the headphone jack is working fine (using MIDI mode).

Thanks!

If you post some photos showing how you have everything connected, we'll see if we can spot the problem.

Sure, here you go.

(And yes, I know that's a weird way of putting on extra headers ;) )

Looks like (squinting eyes) there's not amp chip on there.

Well now, that would explain a great deal!

I just did a side by side of the product photos and sure enough, no amp chip on this board. I *meant* to get the amplified board but well...

Anyway, just grabbed an external amp and all will be fine.

Nice eye!
