PN532 shield - Read NDEF message

I'm having issues reading NDEF messages from MiFare Classic NFC tags using the Adafruit PN532 shield.

I'm trying to make a Babel Fish using a Metro, but instead of hardcoding card IDs to play specific mp3s (as discussed in the guide on line 93), I want to read a 5-digit code as an NDEF message and play the audio file titled with that 5-digit name. I have the audio side worked out. I can't get the NFC shield to read out my NDEF message that I wrote to the tag using my phone.

The example sketches in the Adafruit library do not have examples reading NDEF messages from a MiFare Classic, only reading and output the card ID. There are examples to convert the card format from Classic to NDEF, convert the card format from NDEF to classic, and write NDEF messages, but I'm not seeing where I can read NDEF messages.

Can someone help me read an NDEF message using this shield?
