Motor shield with Nema23

by Emma02 on Mon Jun 22, 2020 10:01 am

Hello,

I am currently building a test bench for displacement transducers. To do this I need to use a Nema 23 motor with the following characteristics: supply voltage :24-48V and supply current :4.2A. Could the Motor Shield Adafruit V2 card make my motor work?

Thanks for your help

No. The motor shield has a maximum supply voltage of 12v and a maximum current of 1.2A per phase.

A 4.2A per phase motor requires an industrial grade driver like a DM542. Check with SteppersOnline. https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/stepper-motor-driver/
