Music Maker with Motor Shield

by PurpleMagician on Sun Mar 14, 2021 4:52 pm

Hello,

I am currently using an Arduino Mega and have stacked two Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shields V2 that control 5 motors, a valve and a Servo.
I would like to add a Music Maker Shield in order to play MP3 files while other parts of the sketch are controlling the motors and servos.

I wanted to make sure that the two shield are compatible and can be used simultaneously.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Communication with the MusicMaker shield is via the SPI bus. The Motor Shield uses the i2c bus. So there is no conflict there.

Mixing motors and audio sometimes creates noise problems, since motors are prolific sources of electrical interference. If that becomes an issue, separate power supplies for the motors is often an effective solution.
