GPS Logger Shield for Arduino Mega

Post by BlueComet27 »

Looking to buy a GPS Logger Shield but me and my team noticed this particular product isn’t viable for Arduino Megas.

https://www.adafruit.com/product/1272

Any recommendations for alternatives that could work for Arduino Megas?

From a read of the guide it sounds like it will work on the metro with a bit of wiring to use "hardware serial" instead of the UNO's "software serial". The Mega has 3 hardware UARTs that you can use (in addition to the one driving the USB chip). See https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-ult ... al-connect.
