solder bridge on MMC socket
At my advanced age and failing eye sight- I managed to get the "not used" two right most "little pins" bridged together. I noticed this way to late to deal with it reasonably. Before I perform the smoke test - can this be ignored - or should i get out the oxy torch and give it a good shot?? (just kidding - or am i?)

Funny, I just did the same thing a few hours ago. Actually, not funny. I wasted another 20 mins trying to get them apart, for no reason other than to drive my blood pressure up another 20 pts.
For the life of me, I cannot get solder braid to wick solder. Never gotten it to work. Sometimes I can fix a small disaster with the solder sucker if there's enough clearance. Seen a lot great videos of people wicking-up solder like a paper towel on water, but it ain't happening for me. Even tried putting extra liquid flux on the joint. I've seen someone even put extra solder on a bridge before taking it apart but I'm more inclined to believe that I'd only make it worse.
The smart money says that another continent is likely separate before I can get these pins to with solder braid.
