Motor Shield 1.0 3V3 Output

Post by taylanpince »

Hello, I have an old 1.0 motor shield lying around and I would like to use it with some 6V brushed DC motors. However, my project also requires providing 3V3 power to another module.

Motor shield seems to block the 3V3 output on my Arduino Mega. Since I will be using an external power supply for the shield, I was wondering if there was any way of redirecting the 3V3 output elsewhere.

V2 shield seems to provide a breakout for 3V3 but I would love to use the module I already have. Thank you for your help!

You can stack a proto shield or a wing-shield between the Arduino and the motor shield and take power from there.
