em406 logging capacity

hi,
does this module keep logging until the sd-card is full or is there a limit for the capacity of the card used? also what is the logging frequency? 1hz?

the logger keeps going until the card is full
note that with a 1G card, thats more than 1000 hours
it records at the rate that the GPS module spits out data. the EM-406a only sends data out once a second

thank you ladyada for the reply.

also i am curious if i could mount this module and its kit directly onto the (or nearby, space allowing) battery of a car. thus it could get its power with the start of the engine and start (or continue) logging. would the hood be a problem for the signal receival? i am assuming ambient temperature is not problematic. (i could start a new thread, but continued here, if i am doing wrong please tell me)

if the hood is metal, then yes it would be a problem. you should power it from the 'cigarette light'
